Caused by Intracranial Aneurysm

Hemorrhagic Stroke

Intracranial aneurysm refers to the gradually generated abnormal dilation caused by the local damage of intracranial artery vessel wall due to congenital anomalies or acquired injuries under the hemodynamics load and other factors. Intracranial aneurysm is the primary cause of subarachnoid hemorrhage and ranks only after cerebral infarction and hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage among all cerebrovascular accidents.

Diagnosis Description

Diagnosis

  • DSA is the “golden criteria” to confirm intracranial aneurysm by expressly identifying the location, shape, size, and quantity of aneurysm, existence of vasospasm and the final treatment strategy
  • CTA can partly replace cerebral vascular angiography

Type and classification (by aneurysm size)

  • Small: <5mm
  • Medium: 5-10mm
  • Large: 11-25mm
  • Giant: >25mm

Shape (by aneurysm shape)

  • Saccular aneurysm
  • Fusiform aneurysm
  • Dissecting aneurysm
  • Irregular aneurysm

Ischemic Stroke

Ischemic Stroke

Ischemic stroke, also known as cerebral infarction, refers to the corresponding neurologic impairment caused by the interruption of cerebral artery blood flow for various reasons and the subsequent hypoxic-ischemic necrosis of local brain tissue because of various reasons.
